MILEAGE ALLOWANCE: The rates are calculated to include unlimited mileage travel up to 300 miles per day, 1800 miles per week. Each mile thereafter is charged at 0.18p plus VAT or 0.20p plus VAT for 7.5 ton vehicles.

VAT: All rates and insurance are subject to VAT at the standard rate.

FUEL: Diesel vehicles will start with a full tank and refuelled on return. Petrol vehicles will not be full. Fuel charges available on request.

VEHICLE INSPECTION & CONDITION: All vehicles are fully checked before your of hire. They are serviced and maintained in our own workshops. If the vehicle should breakdown while on hire we have a 24 hour service.

MINIBUSES: Certain Minibuses have Tachgraphs fitted for European or Business use. You will need category D1 on your driving licence to hire a Minibus.

EUROPEAN HIRE: Our staff will quote for your specific requirements on request. Rates are subject to a 25% European surcharge to cover the documents you need.

TROLLEYS: We can supply a porters trolley to make it easier to move heavy and bulky items of furniture. Please enquire at the time of reserving your vehicle.

LONG TERM RENTAL: Where vehicles are required for longer periods of hire, special discount rates may apply. Full details are available on request.

NON SMOKING: All rental vehicles are strictly non smoking. Deposits will be withheld if there is any evidence of this condition being broken.

RATES: The current rates are shown on this website but are subject to change without notification. The rates include maintenance and oil but exclude fuel.

INSURANCE: The insurance proposal included in the rental agreement must be completed by each and every person wishing to drive the vehicle. An extra charge is made for more than one driver. The insurance does not cover loss of baggage or goods. In the event of an insurance claim being made the hirer will be liable for the current excess as explained when you collect the vehicle. However, the hirer can reduce the theft excess by payment of a theft reducer.

AGE LIMITS: Drivers must be aged between 23 and 70 to drive all cars, light and medium commercials and between 25 and 69 to drive minibuses.

DRIVING LICENCES: A current driving licence (not provisional) must be produced by the hirer at the time of hiring. Both the plastic photocard and paper counterpart section of the photo style licence must be shown. Photo I.D. must be produced along with the old style paper licences.The driver must have passed their driving test over one year ago. We need to know in advance of any driving points in the last 4 years and any driving bans within the last 11 years. A form of printed I.D. (i.e. letter / bank statement / utility bill) dated within the 3 months of your hire, will also be required to confirm the licence address is correct. Hirers must check that they have the correct licence to drive the minibus range (D1)and commercials over 3.5 tonne gross vehicle weight (C1).

OPERATORS LICENCE: Hirers renting the 7.5 tonne commercials in connection with a trade or profession must hold a current operator's licence. The vehicles are liable to be impounded and the driver/hirer prosecuted if a licence is not held. This is not required for people moving house or personal effects.

D.O.E. REGULATIONS: Goods vehicles must not be overloaded and it is the hirers responsibility to ensure that it does not occur. Heavy fines can be imposed by the Department of the Environment.

TYRES: The company will not accept responsibility for damage to tyre side walls and wheels caused by vehicles hitting kerbs and obstructions.

OWN INSURANCE: Customers may arrange their own insurance for comprehensive cover. We require to see proof of cover.

PAYMENT: We will require full payment of the rental charges, VAT, insurance plus the necessary refudable deposits when you make a booking. Payments must be made by acceptable credit or debit card.

DEPOSITS: A refundable deposit to cover fuel, loss of parts, damage by misuse or late return is required. It is £50.00 for cars, £100.00 for vans, minibuses and MPV's & £150.00 for 7.5 ton vehicles The deposit will also be retained if there is a need for excessive cleaning after your hire. The deposit is refundable to the debit/credit card you used when booking.

HIRE PERIOD: The charges are strictly for the periods of hire as stated. Any late returns or excess hours will be charged at 1/8th of the daily rate per hour.

EXTENSION OF HIRE: If you require to extend the hire you must inform our rental office immediately to ensure that adequate insurance cover is effected.

CANCELLATION: Once a deposit has been paid to secure the reservation and subsequently the vehicle is then cancelled we reserve the right to hold the deposit or the value of the rental, whichever is the lower amount. However, if we are able to re-let the vehicle the deposit will be refunded, subject to a handling charge.

ANIMALS: In order to satisfy the majority of our customers, we regret that we are unable to allow animals or pets to be carried in our vehicles at any time.
